Hey Julie

亚当·施辛格（Adam Schlesinger）和克里斯.克林伍德（Chris Collingwood）就是这个奇怪名字的乐团的领导。1986 年，大学一年级的两人相遇在马萨诸塞洲威廉大学，他们对 British pop 有共同的爱好，而且哥俩的精力都特别旺盛，分别都组建过多支乐队，而两人合作之后组建的乐队也是数不胜数。

“韦恩喷泉”已经是个足够奇怪的名字了，但是和他们那时期组织的很多乐队名字比起来，简直是小巫见大巫，比如“你是我妈么？”（Are You My Mother?），还有“三个并排站在一起总共超过 12 只脚的男人”（Three Men Who When Standing Side By Side Have A Wingspan Of Over Twelve Feet）。

经历一段波折后，1996 年，他们又在纽约重新聚首，正式成立了“韦恩喷泉乐队”（这个名字是从新泽西一家礼品店得来的灵感），两人都准备了相当多的歌，成功录制了首张同名专辑。乐队还迅速补充了乔迪·波特（Jody Porter）以及布莱恩·杨（Brian Young）俩人，而随后“Radiation Vibe”以及“Sink To The Bottom”这两支歌曲的成功，也让新进的二人暂时放弃原先各自的乐队，四人组合超过了一年。

从1996年至今，尽管时而有沉寂的时期，韦恩喷泉先后发行了《Utopia Parkway》、《Welcome Interstate Managers》、《Out-of-State Plates》等多张专辑。其中《Welcome Interstate Managers》大获成功，吸引了国内外大量歌迷，并获得了格莱美的提名。
